European Powerlifting Champion 2017 and Winner of Musclemania 2015 Physique, Rajat Goel’s remarkable self-transformation makes him a force to contend with. Foreverfit talks to Rajat about his aspirations. 

He was hooked by fitness early in life. Iconic muscle man Rajat Goel’s mental and physical transformation is remarkable. Today this fitness enthusiast has the distinction of being the European Powerlifting Champion, a World Record Holder, an European Record Holder and Winner of Musclemania 2015.  Rajat’s success in breaking his own physical and mental barriers is totally awe-inspiring.

On the road to fitness

This body builder and fitness enthusiast became interested in fitness, during his teens. In fact, Rajat began working out in his hometown gym, Power House Health Club in Budaun, UP, at the age of 14.  Even though he went on to pursue a career in engineering, his heart still lay in the gym.

Only in 2014 did he find the courage to make a full time move into the fitness industry, though.  At that time, he gave up his well-established career as an engineer at Infosys, to pursue his passion.

From one milestone to another

In 2014, Rajat became a gym trainer. Since then, he has gradually transformed himself into a renowned Fitness model, Transformation expert, and Bikini and Physique Stage Preparation Coach. Today, Rajat is committed to helping other professional body builders, achieve their fitness goals.

To this end, he and his partner, Bindiya Sharma run TheTransformation 101 Hardcore Gym. “We train only those completely dedicated to physical fitness, and willing to put in the time and energy required to achieve their goals,” says Rajat.

His unique workout 

If you decide to rope Rajat in to coach you, you must be willing for a rigorous workout and dietary regimen.  This muscle man relies on a combination of  strength building – through body weight training, and free weights, and cardiovascular fitness.

Consequently, his own regimen focuses on resistance training with free weights. In addition, he does plenty of compound movements, with some amount of aerobic exercises. In the end, however, Rajat’s passion, however, is  strength training.

Individualised diet plans

In his studio, workout routines are complemented by individual nutritional plans. For the most part, he advocates a well balanced diet. “I don’t believe in a low carbohydrate diet,” he emphasises. Rajat’s forte is creating clients plans, on the basis of goals and body types.

This bodybuilder’s own meals includes a variety of macro and micro nutrients, to build energy reserves. “My main food sources are milk, yoghurt, eggs, chicken, fish and lots of fruit, among others,” says Rajat.

Driving interest in female bodybuilding 

Transformation 101 Hardcore also promotes Musclemania and body building among women. For a few years now, Rajat has taken his role as a Bikini Prep coach seriously, and encouraged women to pursue fitness. Under his tutelage, Bindiya won the WBFF Bikini Diva Pro Contest.

Today both he and Bindiya are keen to raise the profile of female body building in India, and put it firmly in the international arena. But roping in female clients is no small task, since social barriers prevent women from approaching the weight rack.  “The biggest myth that needs to be broken is that women should not lift weights,” he declares.
